Trancecorporeal – performance by cosmic swarm and live set by Luna Lias

Esprit Nouveau, Piazza della Costituzione

On Friday, July 4 at 6:30 PM, the performance Trancecorporeal by cosmic swarm will take place at Esprit Nouveau, followed by a live set by Luna Lias from 9 PM to 11 PM.

Trancecorporeal is a participatory hydrofeminist liturgy: tactile, sonic, sensory. It aims to recognize, channel, and visualize the watery transits that enable both the regeneration and the intoxication of bodies. The ritual involves gathering around ice as one might around fire, a transforming beverage, olfactory stimuli, and a soundscape narrated by a tide. Pleasure, slowness, and deep listening emerge as somatic and imaginative tools of resistance to navigate the human and more-than-human habitability of sensory and climate crises.

Afterwards, Luna Lias’s live set will explore the tension between the cold, mechanical sounds of electronic production and the warm, enveloping textures of distorted and fragmented guitars, with influences ranging from industrial, power electronics, bass music, noise rock, to drone ambient.

Free entry.

The event is part of the Terrapolis – Transversal Worlds, Posthuman Futures series and is hosted within CLOSER – Becoming the City, curated by Adiacenze.

______________
Chiara Pitrola, aka cosmic swarm, is a hydrofeminist practitioner who ritualizes slowness through hydration liturgies as a form of resistance to ecological, sensory, and imaginative crises. She is interested in transcorporeal flows, viscosity, aquatic creatures, and oral poetry as a form of spell, protest, and imaginative tool. Other ways in which her presence in the world manifests include sound, deep listening, pleasure activism, herbalism, and DIY community care.

Luna Lias is a musician, producer, and singer from Puglia, currently based in Bologna. Using Ableton’s algorithms, she deconstructs and reworks digital inputs and analog signals. Marcata is her second EP — a secret travel diary, the story of a transformative experience leaving behind traces of blood, scrap metal, and noise.
