On Friday 20 January at 6.30 p.m., Parsec opens UNTANGLE THE JUNGLE, an exhibition by Christine Bax and Camilla Carroli, winners of the PARSEC RESIDENCY programme.

The works on display, produced during the months of residency, are articulated on continuous changes of meaning and seek different but complementary ways of disentangling themselves in a sensory and invisible jungle, moving ironically in the complexity between virtual and real.

UNTANGLE THE JUNGLE – to untangle oneself in the jungle – is an action that is requested of the public: Carroli’s works create a sensory jungle filled with stimuli in which fantastical feline-like animals, agglomerates of matter, tactile and olfactory stimuli combine in a game of dreamlike dances; Bax, on the other hand, works on an invisible and silent tangle, the intricate system of data that governs the internet of things and the digital systems on which the art market has recently shifted, such as blockchain and NFTs.
