Sara Antimi
26.01.2024-10.02.2024

Opening 25.01.2024 at 18:30

Antimi, on the occasion of her end-of-residency exhibition, brings to the stage her attraction towards an elsewhere that can be traced back to funfairs or amusement parks, disorienting, swollen and glittering non-places, made of garish colours and neon signs, an interlude between dream and reality.

In her work, there is a constant ambivalence between the wonder of a child’s gaze and the perturbing feeling that something threatening may inhabit the scene. The memory of the past no longer matches the present reality, invaded by details between the disturbing and the absurd.
