Chaos Emeralds is an album that began as a collection of experimental beats only to end up embodying, over the years of processing, much more. The tracks were made mostly with synthesizers and spontaneous field recordings, as well as guitar, vocal processing, and resampling of an incredibly rusty flute. The initial recordings that generated the album were made in a shared house in South London during the months of lockdown. The songs came to embody a primitive stage of rebirth, like sunlight shining into cluttered spaces where the dusty objects of the past were in a state of disintegration.

Elsa Hewitt produces electronic, ambient, lofi and avant-garde experimental dance music after spending her formative years as a prolific songwriter and bandleader. With a natural sensibility for composition and writing. In her compositions she intuitively expresses the subtle and ineffable currents of life with a unique organic feel and texture. Her eighth and new album, Chaos Emeralds, was released in 2024 after a three-year phase of recalibration.
