There will be noise / until dust settles is the exhibition project curated by Parsec that brings together in the exhibition the installation site- specific ππͺπ£π¨ππ© ππ£ π₯π§π€ππ§ππ¨π¨ by Lithic Alliance and the artist book For a πππ¨π πππ£π π€π§ π πππ§π ππ£π ππ€π© by Daniel V. Keller.
In ππͺπ£π¨ππ© ππ£ π₯π§π€ππ§ππ¨π¨ two screens show different perspectives of the lithosphere, where change is taking place on an enormously different scale and temporality. Daily mining activity in Carrara’s marble quarries contrasts with footage taken at the same location at night, where marble dust particles fill the air. A second video reveals strange landscapes and body textures, making the lithic environment perceived as an inert “Other”.
πππ¨π πππ£π π€π§ π πππ§π ππ£π ππ€π© is an artist’s book that examines the connections between materials, materialities, and architectural elements in the real world and in models. The book is simultaneously a work of research, collection, and narrative. Keller studies the ecological and cultural significance of gravel and sand, which play an important role in the composition of the earth’s surface, at least in our latitudes, as valuable resources and important components of concrete. Keller designs visual fictions made of gravel, bold architecture, ruins of the future and, in some cases, dystopian landscapes.

Lithic Alliance is an art collective that was initiated in 2020 by artist Daniel V. Keller. They are working with-and in various environments on often site-specific projects, multimedia installations, sounds and performances.
Their works have been shown internationally including ICA London, Linnahall Talinn, Couronne Biel, STEMS Gallery Brussels, Art Safiental Biennale, Haus Konstruktiv and GastrΓ€ume ZΓΌrich.
