Improvisation in a green-colored environment
Carolina Fanti
The improvisation that Fanti will present at Terrapolis is part of a larger project, CousCous, a virtual archive of physical experiences of a dancing body immersed in absolute nature. CousCous collects videos of site-specific improvisations in natural, wild, anarchic and pristine environments. The body is emptied of its parameters, its instructions and dynamics, of its being just a body in its own right. By entering a meditative state, new ways of being, being, moving and interacting are defined.

Carolina Fanti is an Italian artist, performer and dance maker born in Bologna and based in Berlin. With a background in classical and contemporary dance, she studied between Germany, Belgium and Austria. Since 2012 she has collaborated with the company Collettivo Cinetico as a dancer in several productions and site-specific projects. She has worked with Italian and international choreographers and artists, and her first video dance, Cassandra, gave birth to CousCous.
