Lunch
TOCIA! Cucina e comunità
Sunday lunch will be prepared for us by TOCIA! Cucina e comunità. In line with TOCIA!’s founding values, the lunch will take shape as a convivial and radical moment: a collective table built around local and seasonal products, chosen in dialogue with the territory that hosts it. For TOCIA!, cooking means inhabiting a place without consuming it, creating community through food, blending rituals, gestures, and memories in a social kitchen laboratory—sharing the need to imagine new ecologies of living, where conviviality, mutualism, and sustainability are part of daily practice. The tociada is thus an invitation: to engage, to get your hands dirty, to dip your bread in the sauce and rediscover—in both the plate and the relationship—a possible form of resistance.

TOCIA! Kitchen and Community is a collective and experimental gastronomic research platform founded in Venice in 2020 by chef and researcher Marco Bravetti. Starting with a residency at the cultural association Spiazzi, TOCIA! has brought together artisans, artists, and researchers in an interdisciplinary exploration of the lagoon landscape and the human relationships that inhabit it—through cooking and its rituals. The project investigates the relationship between food, community, and environment, questioning contemporary dichotomies and opening spaces for political, ecological, and cultural reflection. Conviviality is understood as a radical practice and a space for shared research. TOCIA! is the author of projects such as Convivi Acquatici, Supper Clash, and Zuppe di Lotta; curates the Cloister of the Floating Cinema in Venice; and has taken part in exhibitions such as Italy: A New Collective Landscape (ADI Museum, Milan) and the opening of Petticoat Government at the Belgian Pavilion of the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024.
