9:30 p.m.
Graziella Fava Garden
Milazzo Street, 24

The films at the Fava Garden are defined through a co-curatorial process. Following the film selection survey, the film Stonebreakers, which emerged as the winner over the other films selected during the meetings, will be screened.

Stonebreakers (2002)
United States, 2020: in the midst of the Black Lives Matter uprising and presidential election, the battle over historical monuments erupts. A cultural conflict that engulfs statues of Columbus, Confederates, and Founding Fathers, and challenges the American mythic narrative. Exploring a changing memorial landscape, “Stonebreakers” interrogates the relationship between history and political struggle in an America that, never before, is called to reckon with its past.
