Tree climbing and reading
Daniele Ziccardi
Ziccardi will offer a tree climbing workshop accompanied by a reading group curated by Parsec. The readings will explore climbing as a symbolic and political act, a form of civil disobedience, and a means of defending local ecosystems against extractivist logic. The reading group will become a space for reflection on the material and symbolic value of trees and on the possibility of new collective responsibilities toward forests as sites of resistance.
Daniele Ziccardi is a certified Hatha Yoga and AcroYoga instructor. He has been practicing since 2007 and teaching since 2015, with an approach that combines body awareness, mindfulness, and play. In addition to his yoga training, he has studied techniques for climbing trees and buildings without climbing equipment, using only ropes and harnesses. This experience, carried out as part of a training course promoted by Extinction Rebellion, reflects his interest in physical practices related to nature, autonomy, and activism.
