Workshop: What Does an Abolitionist City Look Like?
Casa di Quartiere Fondo Comini β Via Aristotile Fioravanti 68, Bologna
Parsec presents What Does an Abolitionist City Look Like?, a workshop led by Silvia Calderoni, developed with the Vanth collective from Rome, and presented for the first time in Rome at the Micro Stamperia del Quarticciolo.
Inspired by the practices of feminist collective reading groups, the workshop offers a shared journey through key texts by Angela Davis, Gina Dent, Michel Foucault, Laboratorio Smaschieramenti, Erica Meiners, Giusi Palomba, Beth E. Richie, and other essential contributors.
Through these readings, we will collectively imagine an alternative city β not based on punitive logics, but on care and the collective management of conflict. Based on the readings, we will create visual reflections that will become part of a collective zine.
Due to logistical reasons, only 12 participants will be admitted.
Register by filling out the following form:

The event is free of charge.
The workshop is open to all identities. We ask you to approach it with the understanding that this is a transfeminist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, and anti-fatphobic space. We strive to be anti-ableist and to work towards accessibility. In the registration form, you can indicate your needs and check the accessibility of the venue.
