Martina Aiazzi Mancini – A dimora
Martina Aiazzi Mancini is a cultural mediator and curator. The central question guiding her work and research is: “How can we experience art?”
She has collaborated with numerous cultural institutions, including the Centro per lโarte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato and NAM โ Not A Museum in Florence. She works as a facilitator and coordinator in the fields of social innovation and culture-based regeneration, supporting and enabling diverse artistic practices. Her work spans from curating artist residencies and producing exhibitions to research and writing.
Martina Aiazzi Mancini is the founder of duepunti, a curatorial collective that serves as a platform for emerging artists, aiming to support their research and ease their entry into the professional art world.
A dimora is an artist-in-residence program now in its third edition, taking place in June and July in the municipality of Londa, in the province of Florence. Each year, the project selects artists with the aim of activating participatory dynamics in the area, exploring its potential through artistic practices and dialogue with the local community. Funded by the PNRR Cultura with resources from Next Generation EU and co-funded by the European project Future DiverCities (Creative Europe Programme), A dimora fosters processes of research, exchange, and interaction, encouraging access to the natural, cultural, and social heritage of the Valdisieve area. Each artist is invited to develop a project capable of interpreting and highlighting the needs and sensibilities of the territory, contributing to the creation of a stronger and shared cultural identity. During the residency, public events, open studios, and moments of dialogue enrich the artistsโ experience, encouraging exchanges with experts, professionals, and residents. A dimora is part of Montagna Fiorentina, a wider culture-based territorial regeneration program involving the municipalities of Londa and San Godenzo, in collaboration with LAMA Impresa Socialeโa Florence-based organization active for over 18 years in driving innovation and sustainability in local development.
LAMA Impresa Sociale is a worker cooperative and social enterprise focused on strategies and projects that increase the social impact of organizations, places, and public policies. It designs and implements interventions centered on innovation, participation, and sustainability. LAMA supports urban and territorial regeneration processes, gives new life and identity to places, and evaluates the social impact of its initiatives.
